Nutrition and nourishment is important. Which is why all Front View Feeds are formulated with top-of-the-line ingredients, extensive product research and adequate energy (calories) per pound of feed.

Why does energy matter in feed?

Having proper energy levels in your feed ensures the birds receive enough calories to maintain a healthy bodyweight, as well as provide “fuel” for optimum performance. Studies have shown that having the correct energy levels in feed is essential to optimizing growth in young birds. It is also vital when it comes to maintaining fertility in breeding males and egg production in females. When birds are fed free-choice, they typically eat enough to satisfy their energy levels. But when birds are fed specially formulated feed – containing the proper amount of energy – they can consume less feed to best meet their needs.

The Most Important Ingredient

People often consider protein to be the most important nutrient in feed. Protein is important when it comes to muscle growth and tissue repair and maintenance. However, the one thing that is more important than the protein itself is the amino acids that make up the protein. Having the proper amount of these amino acids – like lysine, methionine, cysteine, and threonine – is essential to obtaining optimum health and bird performance.

All Front View Feeds are carefully balanced to include the appropriate amounts of these essential amino acids. This results in an improved feed conversion ratio – meaning your birds can eat less feed and still get the amino acids their bodies are demanding.

Another important factor we take into consideration is that the amino acids in the feed must be in an easily digestible form. At Front View Feeds, we utilize a mix of plant and animal protein sources as well as pure lysine, methionine and threonine in order to provide easily digestible amino acids in the proper amounts and proportions.

Essential Minerals for Bone Growth and Shell Quality

Calcium and phosphorus are minerals that are essential for healthy bone growth and good egg shell quality. All Front View Feeds include these minerals at optimal levels for each age and species.

We believe in the importance of providing these minerals in the correct amount, as well as the correct ratio to each other. How does this benefit the birds?

By having these two minerals in the correct ratio, both minerals are properly absorbed and metabolized by the bird.
Not all phosphorus that is found in common feed ingredients is digestible – something that is vital when it comes to the overall health of the birds. We understand the importance of digestibility – which is why we utilize ingredients that provide available phosphorus (AKA digestible phosphorus) in the proper quantities that birds require.
With Front View Feeds carefully formulated diets, birds are receiving the right amount of available phosphorous that in conjunction with the correct level of calcium will develop a strong skeletal system as well as good quality egg shells.
