C

CONDITIONER

16% Show Bird Conditioner
This feed is designed to provide all the nutrients needed to condition chickens for exhibition. For best results, this feed needs to be fed during feather growth so that these nutrients are getting to the growing feather. We recommend using this feed on your show prospects beginning at least by 14-16 weeks of age when the birds are going through their final molt before maturity. Old birds that are being conditioned for show should be given this feed during molt so that their new feathers are receiving these nutrients for proper development.

This feed should also be fed throughout the show season to keep your birds in top shape. This diet is good for feathering and will ensure the body of the bird is filled out properly. It also includes enough calcium to support egg production. This diet contains plenty of xanthophyll for optimum leg and skin coloring for yellow skinned breeds.

16% White Bird Conditioner

This diet provides all of the same nutrients as the Show Bird Conditioner, however, it contains no corn or corn by-products. Corn and corn by-products (along with green plants and grasses) contain high amounts of pigment called xanthophyll, a type of carotenoid. When consumed, these xanthophylls may cause white feathers to turn yellow in chickens that are genetically pre-disposed to yellowing.

Instead of corn, this diet utilizes wheat and milo, which contain no xanthophyll, as a substitute.  This diet provides all of the necessary nutrients to develop strong, healthy plumage while keeping white birds pure white. Introduce this diet to young chickens at 14-16 weeks of age and keep them on it throughout the show season. Mature birds can be given this diet during their annual molt to provide essential nutrients to the new feathers.

Broiler Feed

Our broiler feed is designed to meet the nutrient needs for the modern fast-growing broiler chicken. These diets are high in protein and energy to allow broilers to perform to their full genetic potential. This line of feed is ideal for 4-H and FFA market projects, for those growing broilers as part of their farm enterprise, or for the person who just wants to fill their own freezer with chicken.

Either way, these specialized broiler diets will help you improve your bottom line while still giving your birds the proper nutrition they need.

Market Ducks and Geese Feed

These duck and goose diets are intended for growing meat-type ducks and geese for slaughter. These diets allow ducks and geese to grow efficiently and reach their full genetic potential. This line of feed is ideal for 4-H and FFA market projects, for the person that is raising ducks or geese as a part of their farm enterprise, or for the person who is just trying to fill their freezer with meat. These diets satisfy the dietary needs of the birds, while also helping improve your bottom line for efficient, economical meat production.

These diets here are intended for use with Mallard-derived breeds of ducks, such as Pekins, and geese. Muscovy ducks have a lower crude protein requirement, so for those growing Muscovy ducks for market we recommend using the 20% waterfowl starter and 15% grower.

MS

Multi-species

Scratch Grain
This is a whole grain mixture that can be fed to any age or species of poultry. Scratch grains should never make up the entire diet, but rather can be fed supplemental or as a treat. Feeding a little extra grain during cold weather right before birds go to roost can help create valuable body heat during digestion.
Our scratch contains a mixture of cracked corn, wheat, oats, milo, safflower, and sunflower seed.

All-Flock Maintenance
This is a diet intended to be used as a holding diet. These diet can be used on any species of poultry for the purpose of holding mature, non-laying ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, upland gamebirds, or chickens from one breeding season to the next.

The nutrient requirements for mature, non-laying birds are low compared to young, fast-growing birds or birds that are in egg production. In certain species of poultry, especially waterfowl, it is easy for non-breeding birds to gain too much body fat between breeding seasons. This diet is designed to provide all of the essential vitamins and minerals while limiting the intake of the calories and protein that can lead to excessive body fat deposition.

M&M Master Mix
The M&M Master Mix was developed with the help of Matt Lhamon and Mike Sayre (M&M Exhibition Poultry). This is a texturized feed (mix of pellets and whole/cracked grains) that is 18% crude protein. Nutrient-wise it is very similar to our Showbird Conditioner and can be used in place of it. Grains included in this mix are: cracked corn, milo, whole wheat, whole oats, steam rolled  barley, safflower seed, and black oil sunflower seed.

Overall this diet is moderate in energy and high in protein which will help develop lean, healthy birds and would be a great diet for hard-feathered show chickens like Old English Games, Modern Games, American Games, Cornish, etc. to develop a high amount of muscle with minimal fat deposition. This mix is high in fiber, and contains oil seeds to help give the feathers a nice luster. In addition to chickens, this mix could be fed to any species of poultry such as pheasants, guinea fowl, peafowl, exotic waterfowl, or any other bird that requires higher protein. We suggest only feeding this to birds that are at least 4-5 weeks of age and are large enough to eat whole grains.

The pellet used in this mix was formulated here and contains pork meat and bone meal for a high-quality, easily digestible protein source and alfalfa meal to enhance leg and face color. It contains all of the essential vitamins and trace minerals as well as a poultry-specific probiotic blend to keep your birds in top health.

This diet should be supplemented with a source of insoluble grit (i.e. granite grit) to aid in digestion of the whole and cracked grains.

Females in egg production will need a supplemental source of calcium like oyster shell or large particle limestone as the M&M Master Mix does not contain sufficient calcium levels to sustain egg production.

Master Mix Pellet
This is the pellet that is used to make the M&M Master Mix. It can be used to mix with corn, scratch grains, or any grain mixture to form a complete diet. It is 30% crude protein and contains all amino acids, vitamins, trace minerals, and a probiotic blend.

DO NOT FEED UNDILUTED! Nutrient levels in this product are highly concentrated and can become toxic if fed improperly. See reverse side of tag for mixing instructions

This pellet can be used to make feeds for most types and ages of poultry based on the desired crude protein level.

For all types of poultry a source of insoluble grit (i.e. granite grit) should be supplied to ensure proper grain digestion.

For egg producing females a source of supplemental calcium such as oyster shell or large particle limestone should be provided as calcium levels supplied by this product are not high enough for sustained egg production.
